FOOTBALL: Castrol are just too slick for Kydds
CASTROL SOCIAL celebrated a 5-0 victory against Kydds Athletic in last night's Chester and District League Cup Final.
Steve Finlay led the Castrol charge with a hat-trick alongside other marksmen Steve Morgan and Phil Abraham after a goalless opening half.
Hoole Rangers can close the gap at the top of the Premier Division tomorrow with a home win against Kydds Athletic.
Hoole, who were held to a 2-2 draw at Frodsham United on Monday night, will be looking for Lloyd Palmer and Peter Wheeler to make an impact, and Kydds will be looking to bounce back from Wednesday night's drubbing.
Chester Nomads seconds, who clinched a 2-1 win at Crossway on Monday night, entertain Newton Bears tonight.
Ian Ridler, who scored twice for Newton in last weekend's 2-2 draw at Hoole, will be hoping to earn another place on the scoresheet.
Chester Nomads sixths can leapfrog themselves into third spot in Division Two with a victory at home to Boughton Athletic.
But Runcorn Albion can move into second spot if they secure a win at Blacon YC Vets.
