CHESTER LEAGUE - HOOLE RANGERS closed the gap at the top of the Premier Division to just one point.

Rangers celebrated a 4-1 home win against Waggon and Horses thanks to goals from Warren Fowles, Peter Wheeler, Lee Prior, and a Lennox Beddows penalty, to wipe out a Waggon reply from James Henry.

Crossway edged home 4-3 at Duddon United with Lee
Cullen and Rob Jones supplementing an Aaron Edwards double to wipe out replies from Rob Edge, Ian Brooks, and Charlie Briscoe.

Mike Haslam scored for Frodsham United in their 1-1 home draw against Neston who had Ian Ridler on target.

Andy Johnson, Jordan Smith, and John Devenport scored for Kelsall in their 3-3 home draw against Kydds.

Division One leaders City Bar suffered a 5-1 defeat at AFC Bebington.

Matty Decosta scored a penalty for City Bar, but Keith Jenkins and Chris Oakley, with four goals including a penalty, replied for the home club.

Cestrian Alex clinched a 3-3 home draw against Highfield with John Blythin, Dominic Desey, and Ady Gough combining for Alex, and Ros Broadbent, Paul Joyner, and Rob Johnson netting for Highfield.

James Watson scored a last minute spotkick to earn Sutton Way Villa a 2-1 win at Parkgate who had Danny Moore on target.

Ashton Lions grabbed a 3-1 win at Robin Hood. Richard Preston, John Lawrence, and John Mayhew scored for Ashton, while Dan Davies grabbed Hood's reply.

Division Two leaders Saughall Thursday surrendered a 1-0 half-time lead to eventually draw 1-1 at second placed FC Woodlands. Luke Hughes had put Saughall ahead, but Dennis Keenan replied for the home club.

Paul Moran scored for Barrow Athletic seconds in their 2-1 home defeat against Rangers Breaks, and Vicars Cross edged a 1-0 win at Blacon Vets.

Boughton Athletic lost 6-2 at Runcorn Albion who had Rob Phillips, John Urmston, Aly Jones, Stu McClarkey, and two-goal Stuart Hyde on target.

Chester Nomads fourths had Micky Carroll and three-goal Chris Davies on target in their 4-0 win at Newton reserves.
