CHRISTLETON celebrated a 5-0 victory against Highfield Athletic in the Chester FA Senior Cup Final.
Tom Ward and doubles from Paul Sweeney and Shaun O'Rourke secured Christleton a clear-cut victory after they extended a 2-0 half-time lead.

Christleton boss Paul Hughes was pleased to see his side put some silverware in the club trophy cabinet.
He said: "One of my goals for the season was to win the Senior Cup. I always felt we had a realistic chance of reaching the final and then winning.

"Our number one objective was to secure our place in West Cheshire Division One, and we've done that as well as picking up some silverware which is an achievement after losing up to 14 players at the start of the season.

"But the final wasn't completely one-sided until towards the end of the match against Highfield, and I was very impressed with the way Highfield set themselves up."

John Cadwallader scored twice for Upton AA in their 2-2 draw against Heswall who had Danny McNicholas and Tommy Hughes on target.

Upton AA, who battled their way back into the contest after trailing 2-0 at Heswall, wrap up their Division One campaign this Saturday with a home match against high-flying Runcorn Town.

James Nilsen scored Fairfield Athletic's reply in a 1-1 draw at relegated Christleton reserves. Dave Carmen answered for the Chester side.

Mark Bygroves' strike helped Focus to a 1-1 draw at Blacon YC reserves.

In the closest finish to a Division One championship race seen in a long time, leaders, West Kirby, came from behind, and beat Runcorn Town 3-2, to become the first side in ten years to win back to back top flight titles.
