CHRISTLETON round off their West Cheshire League Division One campaign with a trip to Cammell Laird reserves tonight.
And Christleton boss Paul Hughes is hoping his side can provide a good account of themselves against the Shipbuilders who will finish league runners-up if they beat their Chester visitors.

Hughes said: "It would be good to see us finishing the cam
paign with a good performance, but we face a tough match as Cammell Laird will have their eyes focused on a second place finish.

"I've been pleased to see us achieve our main objective of retaining West Cheshire League Division One status, and it was good to see us lifting the Chester FA Senior Cup on Friday night.

"We've regrouped and reassessed our position at the club and brought on a number of under 18s players since losing up to 14 players at the start of the season."

Hughes admitted that he was likely to be without Paul Kenyon, Sean Kilgannon, and Tom Ward for tonight's match, and striker Simon Wilkinson remained a doubtful starter.

Blacon Youth Club crashed 8-0 at New Brighton last night in their West Cheshire League Division One clash.

The victory secured New Brighton runners-up spot, behind champions West Kirby.

Christleton reserves were edged out 3-2 at home to Grange Athletic in Division Two.

Hoole Rangers were held to a 2-2 draw at Frodsham United in the Chester League Premier Division, with Tom Southall and Paul Holmes accounting for the Frodsham goal tally.

Chester Nomads seconds edged home 2-1 at Crossway who had the consolation of an own goal.

TONIGHT'S FIXTURES

Division Three: Hale v St Werburghs.

CHESTER SUNDAY LEAGUE Concorde Trophies Section A: Tarvin Rex v Castrol Swan; Dee Miller Athletic v Lache Athletic.
