TATTENHALL top the Cheshire League Division Two table after winning by 26 runs at Mobberley after posting 188-7.
John Hope (51) provided the platform for the middle-order with his half-century including two big sixes.

Barry Mitchell (31) rode his luck as the Tatt total reached188-7 on a rapidly deteriorating wicket.

Gary Forster was rewarded with 2 for 28
as Mobberley replied, and Dobson returned 3 for 23 from 13 overs to swing the game firmly in the visitors' favour.

Two wickets in two balls from Rob Mulvihill reduced Mobberley to nine down and with instructions to keep going, and a stumping from Roy Sandford won the game, Mulvihill finishing with 4 for 44 from 17 overs.

Tattenhall entertained Broadbottom in a Village Knockout first-round clash at the Flacca on Sunday.. In a reduced overs game, Broadbottom only amassed 67 from their 24 overs.

The reply was a comfortable affair, young Ben Cooke's classy 35 not out guiding the home side into the next round with plenty of overs to spare.

Tattenhall Seconds beat Mobberley in a game at the Flacca where they could have lost heavily.

Batting first, none of the top six got a start and at one stage were 17-7. Thanks to an unbeaten 50 from star man Matt Williams, Tattenhall were able to declare on 125-9 after 50 overs.

Mobberley also lost early wickets trying to force the pace. Ed Stoddard playing his first match of the season took a five wicket haul, and Bob Knight mopped up the tail with 3-3 as Mobberley folded to 69 all out.

A comfortable winning margin of 56 runs left the away team wondering
how they had let it slip.

Mike Andrews helped Saughall to an eight wicket victory at Radbroke Hall in the Cheshire Alliance League.

Radbroke were dismissed for 117 in the 48th over with Andrews finishing with figures of 7 for 37, although James Huxley played his part, going for less than two an over in a 17 over spell.

The run-chase started steadily but Saughall were 40 for 2 before an unbeaten 72 run stand between Adam Griffiths (28 not out) and Mike Andrews (34 not out) helped the team reach their target with nine overs in hand.

Barrow drew their Cheshire League home match against Barnton. Nick Bell (58) and Marlon Barclay (41) lay the foundations before Gareth Pawlett built a partnership with Lee Dwyer to take the score up to 140.

Barrow finalised the innings on a 172 for 6. Opening bowlers Mal Barrow and Brett Balac made life difficult for Barnton's reply, but at 45 for 3, Barnton never attempted to attack the Barrow bowling. Barnton reached 96 for 6.

Chester County Officers pulled off their first victory in a Cheshire League match against Wilmslow.

Wilmslow batted first with their Pakistani star Mahboob launching a blistering assault on the bowling that saw the score mount to 66 in the first 11 overs.

Officers clawed their way back with Steve Johnson dismissing Mahboob for 65. Wilmslow were 171-3 but seven wickets fell for just 22 runs with skipper Steve Johnson taking 6-32.

Andy Barlow returned figures of 2-38 whilst Graham Wilks and Mike Pownall each took a wicket. The final total was 193 in 42 overs which allowed Officers 48 overs to get the runs.

Mike Rowlands (98) and Ian Rule (36) raised 125. In clinching victory Chris Wright (40 not out) ran the visitors ragged in the company of Rowlands.

Alvanley extended their unbeaten start to the Cheshire League season with a home win against Ashley.

Lee Ainsworth and James Wheelahan restricted Ashley, with Wheelahan's first seven overs including two wickets.

Alvanley chipped away but at 45 overs Ashley had broken three figures, finishing at 100 for 9. Peter Pearce took 4 for 47 and Wheelahan 4 for 35 from a 23 over unbroken spell.

Ben Pearce (30), Andy Senior and Phil Jones took Alvanley over the line for a well-deserved 25 points.
