Catholic High pupil, Alice Jennings, cleared 1-56m to win the Year Eight Girls high jump competition ahead of her appearance in this weekend's English Schools' Championships at Gateshead.

Alice also won the 200m title with a time of 28.37 seconds.

Tessa McCormick, of Upton High, rounded the Year Eight Girls 1500m in a time of five minutes 18.4 seconds.

And the Year Eight 4x100m relay squad from Mostyn House, Parkgate, posted a new championship best time of 51.6 seconds.

Christleton High won the Year Eight and Nine Boys age group competitions, while Upton High's Year Nine Girls and Inter Boys finished at the head of their competitions.

Heber High finished first in the Year Eight Girls competition, and Catholic High Inter Girls finished their age group competition in pole position.
