A CHESTER councillor has denied harassing his next door neighbours.

Drury, 61, is accused of committing the offence under Section Two of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 between May 1 and July 13.

The harassment was said to involve using verbal and abusive gestures to the family.

Witnesses to be called include the Evans family and three police officers

Drury will appear at the magistrates court for trial on October 27.

Drury, managing director of Chester Mobility Ltd, is a member for Curzon and Westminster ward on Chester City Council and has been elected to serve the City division on the new Cheshire West and Chester Shadow Authority.
