A NEW minibus service could open up job opportunities for Chester and Flintshire people at Deeside Industrial Park.
The service, which costs £2.70 for a return trip, is calling at Saltney, Lache, Handbridge, Chester Bus Exchange, Blacon and Saughall.
To book a place on the wheelchair accessible minibus, ring the Deeside Shuttle call centre on 08708 505155 for a registration form. Once registered, you can book your transport to and from Deeside Industrial Park.
Funded by Cheshire County Council, Flintshire County Council and Lache Neighbourhood Manage-ment, the minibus will try to pick you up as near to your home as possible.
Cheshire's executive member for highways and transport, Cllr Eveleigh Moore-Dutton, said: "This is an excellent example of Cheshire County Council's Transport and Regeneration Service working together with key partners to introduce a great new cost effective service that I'm sure will prove popular.
"A lack of transport can often be a barrier to being able to find employment and I am pleased that through this service, more Chester residents will now have an opportunity to work at Deeside Industrial Park."
The service is an extension of Flintshire's successful shuttle service.
Dave Faulkner, acting director of environment and regeneration at Flintshire County Council, said: "Since the introduction by Flintshire County Council, the shuttle has made a major i mpact in improving accessibility to employment in Deeside Industrial Park.
"I am very pleased that through imaginative joint working with our partners in Cheshire County Council, this innovative service is now to be extended to the people of Saltney and parts of Chester."
The shuttle bus will arrive at Deeside Industrial Park at 5.50am, 7.50am and 1.50pm. It will depart at 2.15pm, 4.15pm, 5.15pm and 10.15pm, meeting all the major shift times.
