Chester Tenpin bowling centre on the Greyhound Retail Park off Sealand Road has undergone a refurbishment programme which managers claim provides the ultimate sci-fi adventure.
The entertainment centre has been transformed by "cosmic lighting" offering glow-in-the-dark bowling teamed with a live in-house DJ.
Stuart – Russ Owen in the Chester-based Channel 4 soap – posed as the ultimate opponent in the lazer arena.
As part of the celebrations, customers were asked to support an annual prize draw in aid of the Miles of Smiles appeal, a Chester-based charity that organises dream adventure holidays for terminally ill, disabled and underprivileged children.
Miles of Smiles chairman Mike Hughes, of Vicars Cross, said: "Special thanks are offered to customers of Tenpin bowling who helped raise money for the charity as a result of the prize draw appeal."
Manager Andy Swan said: "We're very excited about the new look and believe people of all ages in the area will be delighted with our new facilities.
"Word seems to be out about our new facilities and the atmosphere here, and we're already being contacted by people keen to try out our new lazer feature.
"We now offer so much entertainment for all ages under one roof."
