The sphygmomanometer was used from the mid-20th century, and is one of the artefacts on display at the university's Museum of NHS Memorabilia.
Opened to celebrate 60 years of the NHS, the museum, located on the Chester campus, holds historical records dating back to 1829.
Oxygen machines, gas and air machines, and a range of antique surgical equipment are also on display.
The university's faculty of health and social care received the equipment from Bowmere Hospital in Chester.
The museum is open to the public by arrangement.
