DETECTIVES have issued another appeal in an attempt to catch a masked robber who threatened a Chester shop worker with a screwdriver.
CCTV images have now been released of the terrifying robbery at the Spar store on Long Lane, Upton, which shows a 33-year-old female employee cowering behind the counter as the man paces the shop.

The masked man entered the store shortly before 11pm on Tuesday, November 18, brandishing a screwdriver and approached the counter.

He demanded cash from the till and challenged a 20-year-old male employee.

The young man handed over money before the robber ran out of the shop and down the street.

Cheshire Constabulary spokeswoman Shelley Williams said there were lots of witnesses to the crime and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The man was wearing a mask concealing his face and a white top and blue trousers.

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Constabulary on 0845 458 0000.

Information can also be left anonymously on the Crimestoppers hotline, 0800 555 111.
