Two people have been arrested after a 28-year-old man was shot outside the back of a house in Liverpool.
The man was taken to hospital with injuries to his arm and back after he was found in Baileys Lane, Halewood.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

It is thought he was shot when he called on people he knew at a house in Hornbeam Road, police said.

He was at the back of the property when shots were fired from inside the house.

A 34-year-old man and 26-year-old woman who were arrested have been taken to police stations and forensic examinations are ongoing at the scene.

Anyone with information about the shooting, who the police have not spoken to, should contact the Guncrime Hotline on 0800 4581211.
