Smith praises city policing success
Jacqui Smith has praised Manchester for its success in tackling low-level crime and anti-social behaviour.
The Home Secretary hailed the city's police and local authority for an innovative partnership approach.
She said: "In Chorlton Park last summer the city council and police worked with dozens of agencies to crack down on all aspects of anti-social behaviour."
