SIMON DAVIES believes Chester City's young guns can provide a game to remember in the capital tonight.
The Blues youth team coach takes charge of his side for their FA Youth Cup fourth round tie against Tottenham Hotspur, at White Hart Lane.
Davies said: "It's a big game and we're all aware of what the night is all about.
"We knocked Tottenham out of the FA Youth Cup third round at Chester last season and it's a credit to our lads that we find ourselves in the fourth round again.
"I've done a little bit of homework on Tottenham through my contacts at Crewe Alexandra and Bristol City. They are very good technically from what I've seen on the tapes and DVDs I've watched.
"The Chester team hasn't changed a lot from last season. We've basically retained our strikers and midfielders, but Kevin Roberts, Sean Newton and Neil Carroll are not now eligible for the youth team, so we've had to make a few changes.
"I'm looking for a real squad performance and we're going down to Tottenham in high spirits and with the realistic possibility of coming away with a win."
Davies confirmed that Tottenham had switched tonight's tie from the youth team's usual venue of Leyton Orient, to White Hart Lane.
He added: "I think Tottenham's decision to switch the tie from Leyton Orient to White Hart Lane shows they are treating us with respect after what happened last season.
"They probably thought a cold, wet, and windy night at a chewed up Leyton Orient pitch could have played into our hands.
"They would much prefer to play on the carpet of White Hart Lane, but so would we and we'll be giving it our best shot.
"One of the keys towards a memorable night will be trying not to concede a goal inside the opening half hour.
"I'll be encouraging our lads to be comfortable on the ball because I know we are a good footballing team.
"Several players in our side have already made the step up to the first team which has provided a real boost to their game.
"Our first team manager, Bobby Williamson, has given the youth team players every opportunity to progress, and we now have a conveyor belt of players coming through our system."
Striker Paul McManus is one youth team player who will be familar to Blues fans having already broken into the first team line-up.
Davies, who once played for Manchester United against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in an FA Youth Cup tie, hopes the Chester players can enjoy tonight's match.
He said: "A lot of the Chester players were only first years last season, and Paul McManus has already coped with the hype and intensity of first team football.
"I hope the Chester players really enjoy the experience tonight of playing in such a big stadium and that they are not overawed by the occasion."
n Midfielder Tom Vickers suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder in Chester's 2-1 Youth Alliance League defeat at Carlisle United.
All three goals came as a result of penalty kicks with Giovanni Feliciello scoring from the spot for the Blues.
City had to play 85 minutes of the game with 10 men after Jack Rowlands was sent off with only five minutes on the clock.
